David began his journey in New Zealand's Travel industry 28 years ago when he established a boutique Holiday Park campground just outside of New Plymouth on the beautiful West Coast of New Zealand's North Island.
Four years later in 1992 he became involved with the administration of a major Holiday Park marketing group, went on to become its secretary and administration manager and eventually established an inbound reservation service for group members.
During David's involvement with this marketing group, he travelled extensively throughout New Zealand visiting and getting to know the majority of New Zealand's Holiday Parks. In addition, his work in marketing the group extensively off shore has enabled David to establish long lasting relationships with other inbound operators, and those connections still exist today.
2012 saw a change in direction when David decided to establish the Wheelaway Holidays brand, specialising in Holiday Park accommodation and incorporating all New Zealand Holiday Parks instead of just one marketing group.
The high regard with which David is held by the Holiday Parks community is underlined by the number of quality Holiday Parks which have aligned themselves with Wheelaway Holidays. Now, through Wheelaway Holidays, David and his team believe they can offer a much wider selection of properties and experiences to their international guests.
Teina has worked with David for 13 years, formatting and building tour itineraries for clients while at the same time accumulating a wealth of knowledge about New Zealand.
Carol has been with us for 3 years and is responsible for the accounting side of Wheelaway Holidays, as well as helping out with bookings for clients and travel agents.
